Federico Cantú 1907-1989 The Last Supper is the final meal that, in the Gospel accounts, Jesus shared with his Apostles in Jerusalem before his crucifixion. Mateo el Evangelista, en hebreo מתי (también conocido como Mateo Leví, Leví de Alfeo o Mateo el Apóstol), fue uno de los doce apóstoles elegidos por Jesús de Nazaret. La tradición cristiana le atribuye la autoría del Evangelio de Mateo, pero la crítica actual no acepta esta atribución. Mateo es citado en los Evangelios como Leví, hijo de Alfeo o Cleofás, publicano y recaudador de impuestos en Cafarnaúm (Mateo 9:9, Marcos 2:14, Lucas 5:27-29).
